Don't Be A Salaried Employee Forever, Flimjo.com Shows You How

by Jeff 6/9/2008 8:29:00 AM

I posted a tweet this morning about how I was having a hard time finding a Weekly Buzz winner today. I was amazed at the number of people who have abandoned their blogs and given up so quickly. I was delighted when the very next blog I selected could not be any farther from this mentality. Congratulations to Robert over at Flimjo.com for being the winner of this week's Weekly Buzz!!! Robert has won 500 EntreCard credits which I will be sending over shortly.

Flimjo.com is a blog about making money. But just like BuzzMyBlog.com, it is far from your typical Make Money Online blog. Flimjo.com is is designed to help readers learn how to develop streams of passive income so that they can quit their day jobs. It provides information, resources, and advice about business ideas, passive income, cash flow, real estate investing, investing in general, personal finance, and entrepreneurship. There is a world of useful information as well as interesting and relatable blog posts.

Robert amazes me. He has a very demanding professional career working for a trial law firm, he has a long commute to and from work (he should check out last week's winner Commuter Chronicles!), he is raising a family, he is working on side business projects AND he still manages to post on his blog almost every single day. His writing is informative and inspirational. Robert knows that he doesn't have to put up with the daily grind forever. A passive income and a four hour work week is attainable and his blog is a great start on that path. I just subscribed to his RSS feed and you should too.

Robert's Acceptance Speech offered up these words of wisdom for his fellow bloggers:

You don't have to be a salaried employee forever. You really don't.

Robert shares all of his ideas with the world in order to help us learn how to earn a passive income. Let's return the favor give his site a good BUZZ!

I particularly want to thank Robert for the great write up he did about BuzzMyBlog.com. He captured the essence of my blog and the Weekly Buzz feature perfectly. His write-up also earned him some extra chances of winning by referring other bloggers. So it does pay to use those referral links! If you haven't already signed up for the Weekly Buzz, its never too late. Sign up now!

Have a great week everyone. And Robert...don't work too hard. Wink

Hundreds of blogs are there to guide you how to earn, but I bet, only few of them are really making money for them self.

That is very true MiLan. However, you have to admire the blogs like Flimjo.com that are candid and honest and offer new ideas that help people reach their goals.

Jeff, thanks for the review. Very much appreciated!

It's true that there are a TON Of make money blogs, and only a few are actually making money (either from the blog or from other online or off-line businesses). I'm working hard to develop passive income from online businesses, and I hope to take that money and invest in real estate for cash flow. It's a two-step process that creates security and diversity in investment.

It was my pleasure Robert. Congratulations again!

I actually have the same goal - the two step approach that involves reinvesting earned income into income generating assets. I hate the make money online niche, but it is a good place to start. I don't want to make money by scamming people or bombarding them with ads and affiliate links. By trade I am a software developer. I would rather build a solid base of regular readers and grow my network of contacts. Through blogging and the people I meet, I can then uncover needs for simple software applications that can be sold online. Obviously, I would share profits with anyone who helped come up with the idea.

So if anyone out there has an idea for a software application and want a share of the profits, let me know!
