Contests are always a great way to build traffic to your site. They get readers interested and give them incentive to not only visit your site, but link to it as well. Phillip over at Affiliate Lounge has taken this concept to a whole new level. He's not even bothering with a contest, he's just giving away 500 EntreCard credits to anyone who posts an article about his blog! Utterly brilliant. His goal is to get into the to 60,000 at Technorati. I bet this contest, er...give-away, helps him do it.

So let this post be a valuable lesson on using contests to build traffic. Oh who am I kidding, I'm just desperate for EntreCard credits! Here you go Phillip, here is your post. I'll be waiting for those credits!
