The Idea Shower is a launchpad for new ideas on the web. It is far more than just a blog. It is pure brilliance. Not only does Nate share all of his ideas for the world to read, he also brings them to life and creates solutions out them. His website documents 50 or more web related ideas that he has had over the past few years. Some of them, like the Read It Later Firefox plugin, The Tail Report, or Intwition have practically taken on a life of their own. The thing that makes Nate's website so unique, other than its amazing design, is the simplicity of it. I have never seen a website with so much great information, that looks so simple and elegant. There are no ads, no widgets, no social media garbage. There are three simple categories on his site - Ideas, Solutions, and his Blog. It is clear that Nate runs the Idea Shower for one reason and one reason only, because it is what he loves to do. Although very technically focused, Nate writes in a way that is appealing to those who are not even technical. They say that some people use both sides of their brain when they are both scientific and artistic. If you ask me, I'd say that Nate uses the left, right, top, bottom, front and back of his brain as well. He is a rare breed that not only has the ability to think of great ideas, he has the talent to make them a reality...and the ability to eloquently articulate his creation to the world.
